Aberdeen FC Supporters' Society Limited Annual General Meeting:
Sunday 11 October, 2009, 2pm
Palm Court Hotel, 81 Seafield Hotel, Aberdeen
You are right in thinking it is only a few months since our last AGM but that was for 2008, held over until financial affairs could be brought up to date. The AGM will be an opportunity for each of you to give us your feedback on the Trust’s work and also to discuss current issues surrounding the Trust, AFC and football in general.
Immediately after the AGM, we will have refreshments and a meeting with Mark McGhee and Willie Miller who will endeavour to answer your questions.
Despite everything appearing sort of OK on the surface at AFC, they in common with most other clubs, are affected by several issues within Scottish Football and it is important we keep our finger as close to the football pulse, as is possible. We do this through getting feedback from all fans, having periodic meetings with AFC and through liaison with Supporters Direct.
So, it is vitally important we get your support and feedback and this is a plea to do that on Sunday 11 October.
To help with catering arrangements, please reply to this e-mail or call Bill Ellis on 01738 444970 to confirm attendance.
As ever the AFC Trust is looking for new blood and help on the Trust Board and have plans to re-launch the Trust and look to broaden the organisation to try to become an effective umbrella for all groups with the Dons at heart. Ideally we would like a board of 8-11 members and several volunteers. Members with some time (a few hours/month) and knowledge of areas such as, fund raising, general administration, community activities, marketing and publicity, would be particularly welcome to put themselves forward. The Society Board normally meets 9 - 10 times per year. If any member wishes to put himself/herself forward to serve on the Society Board of the Trust, or to become a volunteer, then either write to us at the above address, e-mail secretary@afctrust.com or make themselves known to one of the existing Board members at the meeting.
A copy of the full accounts for year ended 30th June 2009 along with other relevant documentation relating to the Trust’s AGM are attached.
Because we need your support and feedback, it is vitally important you to attend this Annual General Meeting.
Yours sincerely
AFC Trust Society Board
