    Minutes of AFC Supporters Society AGM, Double Tree Hotel, 11 April 2009

    Present: Craig Walker, Gordon Duncan, Bill Ellis, Neil Walker, Jennifer Moffat + 11 members

    Apologies: Una Tod, Mike Rennie, Jeremy Wood

    This being the second attempt to hold the AGM, the 15 eligible members present constituted a valid quorum.

    W Ellis read the minutes from the previous AGM held at the Palm Court Hotel on 16 January 2008. These were proposed as a true record by Craig Walker and seconded by Neil Walker.

    W Ellis gave a brief account on the Society Activities over the past year and added some Trust historical information.

    Jennifer Moffat gave a brief overview of the audited Society Accounts for year ending 30 June 2007 and the independently examined accounts for the year ending 30 June 2008

    The following motions were adopted unanimously:

    • The audited accounts for year ending 30 June 2007. Proposed, Craig Walker, seconded Gordon Duncan
    • The independently examined accounts for year ending 30 June 2008. Proposed Euan Thomson, Seconded by Jennifer Moffat
    • Gordon Duncan re-elected. Proposed Jennifer Moffat, seconded Neil Walker
    • Craig Walker re-elected. Proposed Malcolm Hay, seconded Andy Moffat
    • Jennifer Moffat elected. Proposed Bill Ellis, seconded Gordon Duncan
    • Permission to hold an independent examination of accounts, instead of a full audit, for year ending 30 June 2009. Proposed Derek Duthie, seconded Jack Watt.
    Following the close of official business, there was a general round table discussion covering issues such as:
    • The vital importance of the Society and fans in getting involved in proposed new stadium discussions such as design, transport, funding
    • Lack of co-ordination, representation and communication with fans organisations and the role of Fans Rep on AFC Board
    • The Society open letter and Willie Miller response
    • AFC finances and Stewart Milne role
