    AFC Trust AGM
    18/01/2008
At the AGM held in the Palm Court Hotel on 16th January 2008, the following resolutions were agreed unanimously:
    • The annual report and accounts
    • William Ellis re-elected
    • The amendment to Rule 86 adopted
(The amendment to Rule 86 means the Trust can have their annual accounts subjected to an Independent Examination (as defined and supported by Supporters Direct) instead of a full audit. Thereby saving time and cost). This amendment requires to be ratified by Supporters Direct.

Following the close of official business, there was a Question and Answer session. Sadly Jimmy Calderwood was unable to attend due to being away on a scouting mission, but in his absence Willie Miller and Chris Gavin dealt with a wide variety of questions from the audience covering matters such as attendances, stadium, prices, finances, contracts and players. Willie and Chris dealt openly and fully with the questions and took away several suggestions for further consideration.

The Society Board are extremely disappointed with the low attendance at the AGM. AFC are moving into a crucial phase in their history with the possibility of a new stadium and consequently, new investment. It is vitally important that fans have an input into these issues and discussions. Currently, AFC Trust are the only body in discussion with AFC on these matters so regardless of your opinions or that of your organisation (supporters club, etc.), it is essential that your views and those of many others, are expressed.

AFC Trust are again appealing for volunteers to assist with the work of the Trust on a wide variety of issues such as stadium, community, PR, finances, fundraising etc.
